Avatar: The Last Airbender turns 15 next week, and the milestone is being commemorated with a new limited-edition steelbook collection. The 15th anniversary Blu-ray box set releases February 18 and is currently discounted to $80 at Amazon, which saves you about $20.
The brand-new box set comes with all three seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender on Blu-ray, each of which has its own steelbook case featuring gorgeous original artwork. It's certainly a pricey set, especially since it doesn't come with any new content outside of an exclusive excerpt from F.C. Yee's Kyoshi novel series set in the Avatar universe. You're paying a hefty premium for the look of the set, as the standard Blu-ray collection is currently discounted to $25.85 at Amazon (was $45).
The Last Airbender is widely regarded as one of the best anime series of all-time. A follow-up series, The Legend of Korra, aired for four seasons after The Last Airbender's arc concluded. Netflix is currently working on a live-action adaptation of The Last Airbender that will hopefully make fans forget about M. Night Shyamalan's abysmal 2010 feature film.
