Destiny 2: The Dawning Recipes (2019), All Cookie Ingredients, Gifts, And Rewards Guide

From now until January 14, Destiny 2's annual holiday event, The Dawning, is live. Many of its new cosmetic items are available for sale through Eververse, but there's much more to do than just buy items for Silver or Bright Dust. An early quest that takes just moments to complete will net you the new Cold Front submachine gun, and from there you can continue to use Eva's Holiday Oven 2.0 to bake cookies and treats using a variety of recipes. These can be turned into various NPCs for rewards and to complete various quests. Below, you'll find all of the recipes and how to gather the required ingredients to bake them.

If you want to do a lot of baking, it'll require some grinding. You'll earn ingredients in a variety of ways, but they almost all involve killing enemies--what you obtain will depend on the enemy type (eg, kill Vex to get Vex Milk) or what you use to kill them (Personal Touch comes from melee kills, Sharp Flavor from sword kills, and so on). No matter what you're baking, you'll also need 15 Essence of Dawning for each recipe. You'll get some for completing activities (including public events), but another reliable but limited source for it is the weekly bounties that Eva offers. Many recipes return from last year, but there are new ones as well, including those that will have you delivering the end result to characters like Saint-14 and raid boss Riven. We've assembled all the ones we know--including Vanilla Blades for Shaxx, Chocolate Ship Cookies for Amanda, and Eliksni Birdseed for Hawthorne, which are all part of the Cheer Up quest you'll get early on. The Dawning 2019 Rewards

As noted above, when you turn in your first baked treat to Zavala and return to Eva, she'll give you a rewards package. The most item inside is the new submachine gun, but it isn't the only thing that awaits you.

Eva gives you the Spreading Cheer quest. One of the steps to that involves baking a total of 50 gifts, and this thankfully includes progress you made during 2018's event. Complete all three steps and you'll earn the Alpine Dash Sparrow.
