Three Xbox One Games Are Free To Play This Weekend

There are a ton of free games to play this weekend across Xbox One and PC, all of which are surprisingly great. Microsoft just announced three more fantastic games for its current Free Play Days event, which runs until March 1 at 11:59 PM PT / 2:59 PM ET. Dragon Ball FighterZ, The Division 2, and Just Cause 4 are all free to play right now for Xbox Live Gold subscribers--Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold in its subscription.

If you want to keep playing them after the event is over, then you can pick all three of them up at a very nice discount--if you're a Game Pass for console member, then you can continue playing Just Cause 4 after this weekend as part of your subscription. Dragon Ball FighterZ is discounted to $15 USD, The Division 2 is only going for $3, and Just Cause 4 is $14. Each game's special editions are also discounted. These deals are valid until March 2.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is a fantastic and exciting 3v3 fighting game that features all of the best characters from the Dragon Ball universe--ranging from Dragon Ball Z to GT and Super. Season 3 recently kicked off with new DLC character Kefla. At launch, it scored a 9/10 in GameSpot's Dragon Ball FighterZ review. Critic Peter Brown said, "FighterZ is complex and distinct enough to be enjoyed by fighting game competitors, but there's no question that it's been designed to tap into the hearts of Dragon Ball's most dedicated fans, and no doubt those same qualities will win people over who've never given the series a chance."

The Division 2 is an RPG loot-shooter that puts you in the shoes of your own created operator, as they wrestle control of Washington, DC, away from murderous gangs and traitorous agents. Its Warlords of New York expansion releases March 3 and will bring players back to Manhattan, the setting of the first game. The base game received a 9/10 in GameSpot's The Division 2 review, with critic Edmond Tran calling it "a perpetual cycle of tension, relief, and reward that's difficult to stay away from."

Lastly, Just Cause 4 is an explosive action game that puts you in the middle of some incredible, destructive moments. It scored a 6/10 in GameSpot's Just Cause 4 review, with critic Michael Higham praising its satisfying traversal system and various tools that encourage creative destruction. However, he felt the open world was "unusually bare" and that the story missions didn't take advantage of the best parts of the game.

If you have a PC, there are three more games you can play for free on Steam and one you can claim to keep forever. And if you want, you can get The Division 2's lavish collector's edition for only $10.
