Resident Evil 3 Remake's Newest Trailer Showcases Nemesis And Other Characters

Capcom has shared a new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil 3 remake. This one gives focuses on some of the heroes and villains that players will encounter during the course of the game, including the hulking antagonist, Nemesis.

The trailer, which you can watch below, begins with Nemesis stalking heroine Jill Valentine through a blazing building. She is able to narrowly escape, and we see the game's other primary protagonist, Carlos Oliveria, come to her aid. The trailer also showcases other members of the UBCS who you'll meet throughout the story, as well as the menacing Hunter enemy.

In addition to the trailer, Capcom has shared a handful of new Resident Evil 3 screenshots on its official blog, along with some more background details on the game's major characters. You can check out the new screenshots below.

According to Capcom, Resident Evil 3 will be "more action-packed" than last year's RE2 remake. Like that game, it trades the fixed camera angles of the original for an over-the-shoulder perspective. Capcom also says there will be other changes and rearrangements "so that those familiar with the original could also enjoy it."

In addition to the solo campaign, the Resident Evil 3 remake includes the asymmetrical multiplayer mode, Resident Evil Resistance, which pits one mastermind against four players who are trying to survive. One of these survivors is Martin Sandwich, a skilled engineer and mechanic who can create traps to slow down or stun enemies.

Resident Evil 3 launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3. You can read more about the title in our roundup of everything we know about Resident Evil 3 so far, and if you're interested in picking up a copy, be sure to check out our Resident Evil 3 remake pre-order guide.
