The Best Toys At Toy Fair 2020: Funko Pops, Baby Yoda Plush, Legos, And More

Toy Fair 2020 is kicking off this weekend at the Javits Center in New York Center, with more than 1,000 exhibitors gathering to showcase over 150,000 new toys and other entertainment products. The trade-only event kicks off this Saturday, February 22, and runs until February 25, but we're already seeing a ton of exciting new product announcements out of Toy Fair, including a slew of new Baby Yoda merchandise, brand-new Funko Pops for Marvel's Avengers and Pokemon, new Minecraft figures from Mattel, and much, much more.

Toy Fair isn't open to the public, but you don't have to miss out on all the action. We've rounded up some of our favorite upcoming Funko Pops and other toys announced so far for New York Toy Fair 2020. Plus, check out more of our Toy Fair coverage below--especially the full list of Baby Yoda accessories coming out this year.

More Toy Fair 2020 coverage:

Baby Yoda Animatronic Edition | $60

Baby Yoda comes to life in this new Animatronic Edition, which has more than 25 sound and movement reactions. The Child can laugh, coo, move his ears, close his eyes for a "Force nap," and more. The Baby Yoda Animatronic Edition releases this December, just in time for the holidays, and you can still snag it for yourself at Entertainment Earth. Don't wait too long--it's already sold out at Amazon.

Baby Yoda Build-A-Bear

Build-A-Bear's Baby Yoda was announced last month, but Toy Fair 2020 has given a first look at the adorable upcoming plush. While we don't have a price or release date for this toy, you can sign up to receive more information at Build-A-Bear.

Baby Yoda 8-inch Basic Plush | $13

We're obsessed with this tiny Baby Yoda plush. It's adorable, and it'll only cost you $13 when it releases this fall.

Lego Brickheadz Mandalorian and The Child Building Kit | $20

A new Lego Brickheadz set with 295 pieces releases August 1 and features Mando and Baby Yoda in his bassinet.

Mandalorian-themed Trouble and Operation board games

Baby Yoda board games are coming. Classic games like Trouble ($15) and Operation ($20) are getting themed versions featuring The Child this spring. And no, you won't be performing surgery on Baby Yoda in Operation; instead, you'll be picking up his toys.

New Minecraft figures

Don't worry--not everything on this list is Baby Yoda. Mattel's upcoming Minecraft figures are another exciting reveal out of Toy Fair 2020. The 3.25-inch Comic Mode action figures each come with a stand, an accessory or tool, and a swappable face. They also come with scannable codes that unlock sounds and special effects for the Comic Mode portion of the Minecraft app. The new Minecraft toy line also includes Minecraft Earth Boost mini-figures and Minecraft Dungeon figures.

Marvel's Avengers (Game) Funko Pops

The upcoming Marvel's Avengers game from Square Enix releases September 4, and Funko is getting ready for its launch with a new line of Pops inspired by the game. While this certainly isn't the first time Marvel's heroes have appeared in Funko Pop form, this group of Pops presents the heroes as they look in the game. Notably, the upcoming Funko Pop collection includes the game's main protagonist, Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), and the villainous Taskmaster.

Funko also announced a new line of My Hero Academia Funko Pops for Toy Fair 2020. The new collection of Pops based on the hit anime are available to pre-order now at multiple retailers.

Amazon's The Boys

Amazon's superhero series The Boys is getting its own collection of Pops as well, Funko announced for Toy Fair 2020. The Boys' Funko Pop line includes Homelander, Starlight, Queen Maeve, A-Train, and more. These collectibles will release July 20.

New Pokemon Funko Pops

The existing line of Pokemon Funko Pops is actually quite small, but Funko has been expanding the collection quite a bit recently. Earlier this month, we saw the addition of four new Pokemon Funko Pops--Mewtwo, Pichu, Mr. Mime, and Vulpix--and now four more Pokemon will join that collection. Toy Fair has revealed a new (angrier) Pikachu, Cubone, Growlithe, and Rattata will release as Funko Pops on July 4.

Where to buy them:

Yu-Gi-Oh Funko Pops

The classic anime inspired a new line of Funko Pops for Toy Fair 2020, featuring Yugi, Maximillion, Joey Wheeler, and more. They release May 23.

Where to buy them:

New Marvel Funko Pops

Literally hundreds of Marvel Funko Pops exist at this point, but that doesn't mean Funko is going to stop making them anytime soon. Luckily, that means we're getting some pretty creative Marvel Pops these days, and the newest additions to the series are pretty cool. For Toy Fair 2020, Funko is releasing Pops featuring Valkyrie on her pegasus, a Thor Ragnarok edition of Stan Lee, and more, coming this spring and summer.

Where to buy them:

Tiger Electronics LCD Video Games

Ahead of Toy Fair 2020, Hasbro announced it's bringing back the company's classic LCD game systems, releasing this fall. The line of Tiger Electronics LCD video games includes Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Transformers Generation 2, and Marvel X-Men Project X. They're all up for pre-order now at GameStop.

My Partner Eevee | $20

Wicked Cool Toys is releasing an interactive Eevee that'll be perfect for young Pokemon fans this holiday season. Releasing August 2020, My Partner Eevee has a built-in microphone and touch sensor that lets Eevee respond to your touch, your voice, and even music. Eevee has over 20 sound effects and expressions and can move its tail and head as well.

Snooze Action Snorlax | $30

My Partner Eevee is very good, but so is this wonderful 10-inch Snorlax plush. The rotund, sleepy Pokemon always makes for a wonderful plush, but this one is interactive. Snorlax has two distinct modes: Snooze Mode and Awake Mode. In Awake Mode, you can pretend to feed it a special Pecha Berry (which comes with the toy); the berry will also wake it up from Snooze Mode. An exact release date hasn't been announced, but Snooze Action Snorlax is out this fall.

Mortal Kombat 11: Spawn action figure | $20

In time for Toy Fair 2020, McFarlane Toys announced a new Spawn action figure emulating his iconic look from Mortal Kombat 11 and the Spawn comic series. The new 7-inch scale figure is timed to release alongside Spawn's arrival in Mortal Kombat 11 as part of the Kombat Pack DLC on March 24 (Kombat Pack owners get early access starting March 17). The Spawn figure is estimated to release this March as well.
