Xbox One's Elite Series 2 Controller Out Soon--Here's Where To Pre-Order

Among the huge variety of game and hardware announcements from Microsoft's E3 2019 press conference was the reveal of the Xbox Elite Series 2 wireless controller, a new version of its high-end Elite controller, which was first released in 2015. Costing $180 at launch on November 4, 2019, the Elite Series 2 is $30 more expensive than its predecessor, but Microsoft promises that it's been rebuilt from the inside out with new features and improvements that will set a new high bar for gamepads. The Xbox Elite Series 2 is available now for pre-order from a variety of retailers, and we're here to help you find the best deals.

In addition to all of the features introduced in the first Elite controller, such as swappable, magnetic components, customizable button mapping, and trigger depth settings, the Elite 2 will allow you to do things like customize thumb stick tension and designate a "shift" button for alternate functions on any other button. It will also finally use Bluetooth instead of a custom wireless protocol and charge via USB for up to 40 hours of use. Microsoft has also confirmed that it will work Project Scarlett, the recently-announced upcoming console.

$180 is no joke for a gamepad when you can get Microsoft's perfectly solid base model for less than $60, but if you're ready to take the plunge on what is likely the best gamepad that your money can buy, we're here to help.
