Dying Light 2 sees Techland return to the zombie-infested wasteland in created in the original, a 2015 open-world survival horror romp. Dying Light featured some rich worldbuilding, open-ended parkour movement, and a day-and-night cycle in which going out at dark was a harrowing experience. Set 15 years after the events of the first game, the Dying Light 2 looks to expand on all of these concepts during a "modern dark age," with humanity struggling to rebuild civilization. We still don't know the game's exactly release date, but we know it'll launch sometime in Spring 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
The Polish developer announced the title during Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference, alongside noted RPG designer and writer Chris Avellone, who serves as the game's narrative designer. The involvement of Avellone (noted for Planescape: Torment, Pillars of Eternity, and Into the Breach, among others) signals a much greater focus on choice and branching narrative than the first game. Player actions will have far-reaching consequences, fundamentally shaping the world of the game in sometimes unexpected ways.

Although the game does not yet have a release date more specific than early 2020, if you're eager to secure a copy already, we're here to help.
