Anthem Has Free Login Rewards To Celebrate First Anniversary

BioWare's Anthem is already one year old, and the game is celebrating with extra rewards for those still playing. The new vinyl you get for your Javelin suit will show everyone you're committed to playing the game, even during its most troubled period.

From now until March 24 at 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET / 12 PM BST, anyone who logs into Anthem will receive four free "Empowered" vinyls, with one for each of the game's Javelin classes. A new material called "Painted Metallic Flake" is free through the update, as well. The offer extends to those who are playing through EA Access or Origin Access but have not purchased the game on its own.

In order to claim your gift, you need to go to the game's Forge, which is the area used for almost all customization.

Anthem is getting a major overhaul in the future, with BioWare working to completely rework the gameplay loop and make its progression and rewards feel more satisfying. The game will continue to run during this period, and it will still receive events as well as repeats of past content.

In GameSpot's Anthem review, Kallie Plagge loved the flying system but found the story and boss fights lacking. The game's price dropped considerably by the end of 2019, and BioWare even delayed planned content in order to focus on improving the core game. It didn't manage to crack the United States' 2019 top 10 best-selling games list, either, losing out to fellow shared-world shooter The Division 2.
